Privacy Policy
LegislateWV is an iPhone app about the West Virginia Legislature. This policy describes what the app does with information on your device.
What the app stores on your phone
Favorites, tracked bills, your home county, display name, lesson progress, and similar settings stay in the app on your device. We do not create an account for you.
What leaves the device
The app downloads public directory and bill information (including a public feed of bill status). That request does not include your name, county, favorites, or tracked bills.
If you subscribe, Apple processes the purchase. We do not receive your credit card number.
If you allow notifications after you subscribe, Apple’s push service may use a device token so this phone can receive an alert when a tracked bill moves. We do not sell that token. We do not use it for advertising.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not show ads. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics in the app. We do not use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Public legislative data
Member names, photos, districts, and bill records come from public West Virginia legislative sources. That information is not your personal data.
